  1. Go to “Start > Control Panel > Add or remove programs”.

  1. From the Start screen, place your mouse cursor to the bottom-right corner of the screen to display the side bar.
  2. Click the “Search” icon.
  3. In the search box, type “Control Panel” and click the “Apps” tile (option).
  4. A list of results will be displayed, including “Control Panel”. Click it.
  5. The classic “Program and Features” section of the Control Panel is opened.
  6. Simply right-click on the HP® Software Update and select “Uninstall”.
  7. Go through all the dialog of the uninstaller and remove the HP® Software Update with all its components.
