What Do I Do if My Internet Connection Is Getting Slower

October 03, 2011  |  Difficulty: Easy

How to use antispyware real-time protection that saves your PC from Internet threats

The Internet and networking have become powerful instruments in our daily lives. However, we continually face attacks from the Internet by dangerous software known as spyware, malware or adware. These types of programs can cause many problems ranging from irritating advertisements to serious issues like identity theft by unintentionally sending your private data, keys, certificates, passwords, and even your bank account details to an attacker.

An infected computer is often used by the attacker for sending SPAM or spreading bad software to more unsuspecting people, thus the PC becomes the attacker’s tool. This type of data transfer will always keep your Internet connection busy and interfere with your daily work. It will take longer to connect to your email service, web pages load slower, even your Internet browser will behave slow because it is overloaded by spyware applications running in the background.

People usually do not know their system is infected, or, by the time they notice their computer’s behavior change, it is too late. For these reasons, an effective user-friendly security application was invented called “antispyware”. It allows you to scan your computer against dangerous threats immediately whenever you want with just a few clicks. Using antispyware real-time protection saves your PC from Internet threats whenever you are connected.

Instructions:

  1. You can install Spyware Terminator 2012 by following the steps from the article that focuses on the installation of free spyware and adware blocker.
  2. Start the application.
  3. In the “Main” tab click on the “Choose a Different Scan” dropdown menu (located under the “Start Fast Scan” button) and choose the “Start Full Scan” selection.
  4. Once the full scan of your computer has started, wait until the application finishes.
  5. Now “Removing Threats” is displayed, click the “Remove” button.
  6. If the PC needs to restart to be completed, please click on the “Restart My PC” button.

Tips and Tricks:

  • During the “Full Scan” you can see detailed information in the left summary pane, and the percentage of progress in the main overview.
  • If you realize that your PC has slowed down during the scan and is restricting you in your work, you can easily pause or abort the scan by selecting the two buttons in the main overview.

Warnings:

  • If a restart of your computer is required after your threats have been removed, please make sure you have saved your work and documents before you click the “Restart My PC” button.
